DE Garengeot Hernia

Croissant de Garengeot’s hernia is a rare condition and occurs mostly in females. The presence of an appendix femoral uncommon, the appendicitis even more infrequent. hernias as incidental finding about 0.9%, incidence 0.08%-0.13%. A 49 year old woman presented emergency department with acutely painful lump her right groin. Examination revealed non-reducible, tender redness overlying skin. Intra-operative findings were sac containing strangulation its distal third. Appendicectomy repair done patient made uneventful recovery discharged home on 3rd postoperative day.
